The rhinoplasty or nose job

The rhinoplastie is an intervention done to decrease the size of a long, embossed or pasted nose, by carefully studying osteo-cartilage reductions or to rebuild a flat nose lacking projection by addition of cartilages.

The purpose of these reorganizing interventions is to modify the often-deformed line of the profile and to obtain a harmonization of the face, fulfilling the requirements of the patient while preserving its respiratory function.

This intervention is addressed to all those which feel an aesthetic embarrassment to the point of wanting to be operated. Some people accept to have an imperfect nose, may it be long, deviated or flat whereas others do not stand the least imperfection.

The surgeon must avoid operating any patient whose psychological profile is unstable as well as patients who express the emotional repercussions, which appear excessive compared to the defect itself. In all the other cases, the intervention is beneficial; it makes it possible for the patient to be in peace with his interior identity by removing a painful physical characteristic.

The nose indeed gives to the face all its style and characterizes each person.

The nose should be operated only after age the 17 years old when the face has stopped its growth. Normally after 60 years old, it's common to treat the fall of the nose point, which is one of the signs of face ageing: this is called the renovation rhinoplasty , and is often associated, during the same operation, with a face lift intervention. This intervention concerns and interest women as much as men.
