The interventions
The plastic surgery is one that uses the same general rules as the other surgeries. It requires a pre-anesthesic medical check-up and must be held within an optimal framework of safety and comfort.
During this last decade, the techniques in plastic surgery and anaesthesia have considerably evolved, they are today adapted to the requirements and the desires of the patients. The surgical act is more than ever codified, the scars are increasingly noticeable, and consequently the operational followings are somewhat simplified and the duration of hospitalisation significantly short.
Our perfect master of the anaesthesia and the various surgical techniques we use make it possible to practise several interventions during the same operational time, on a well psychologically prepared patient and in good condition of health.
Some operations we practice are usually coupled. Thus, one can associate to a cervico-facial lift, a blepharoplastie, a front-temporal face lift or a rhinoplastie. Concerning the silhouette, a lipoaspiration is easily combined with breasts Implantation or abdominoplastie.
Nevertheless, there are general risks related to any type of surgery and specific risks era to be considered regarding the practised surgical technique.
Any surgical operation bears a certain percentage of general risks such as: hematomes, infections, and delay of cicatrisation. The patient must be informed of these complications for a better reaction to their possible occurrence.
Some useful recommendations to help patients experience in full safety and peace of mind their intervention and the operational continuations that will result from it:
The scars due to lipoaspiration only a few millimetres wide and theoretically disappear after 6 months. The eyelids skin is very fine and heals well in general. The scar on this level of the face is erased quickly more especially as it is located in the palpebral fold.
Concerning breast reduction on the other hand, the scars remain several months before becoming suitably acceptable. The result of the intervention is obtained at the end of three to six months in the majority of the cases.
